Home GCC Oman Oman low-cost carrier Salam Air launches new flights from Muscat to Bangladesh New service four times per week from Muscat to Chittagong by Ben Mack October 6, 2019 Flying between the Gulf and Bangladesh is about to get easier, as Oman’s Salam Air is launching a new direct service. The low-cost carrier will begin flying non-stop between the Omani capital of Muscat and the Bangladeshi port city of Chattogram (formerly known as Chittagong) on Monday, October 7. The flight will operate four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, departing Muscat at 1:55 p.m. local time and arriving in Chattogram at 8:45 p.m. local time. The return flight will depart Chattogram at 9:30 p.m. local time, landing in Muscat at 12:35 a.m. local time the next day. The new route is the latest for Salam Air. The airline is also now offering four weekly flights between Muscat and Abu Dhabi. The flights take off from Muscat International Airport at 9 a.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 10:20 a.m. Travelling in the other direction, flights take-off from Abu Dhabi at 11:05 a.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Muscat at 12:05 p.m. The inaugural flight arrived from in Abu Dhabi from Muscat on September 10.
