One killed, three injured in gas explosion in Dubai building

One person died and three others were injured in a building explosion believed to have been caused by cooking gas accident in Dubai on Saturday, local media reported.

The blast occurred at a residential building in the Al Mankhool area of Bur Dubai on Saturday evening, Gulf News reported.

The explosion blew a hole in the side of the building and reportedly took place on the sixth floor.

All the residents were evacuated and given accommodation in a neighbouring hotel apartment, the report added.
