Home Transport Aviation Pakistan International Airlines resumes flights to Muscat, Sharjah The carrier is in the middle of a turnaround plan by Staff Writer November 20, 2018 Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is resuming flights to Muscat and Sharjah after suspending the routes for more than a year. PIA said it would be flying twice a week from Pakistan’s second most populated city, Lahore, to the Omani capital. It inaugurated the service, operated by an Airbus A320, on November 17. Flights from Lahore to Muscat will take place on Saturdays and Sundays with the return service on Saturdays and Mondays. “With the introduction of these flights, PIA will have nine flights to Muscat from Peshawar, Turbat and Gwadar, besides Lahore,” said PIA president and CEO Arshad Malik. The Sialkot-Sharjah route will resume on November 20 with flights every Tuesday and Friday. Combined with the existing flights from Turbat, this will bring PIA’s weekly flights to Sharjah to five. Malik said the government was supporting the carrier as it pursued an aggressive strategy to reverse its fortunes. 0 Comments
