Home UAE Dubai Private schools in Dubai can opt for a suitable teaching approach Schools are encouraged to implement innovative solutions to ensure high safety standards in the current environment by Zainab Mansoor August 6, 2020 Private schools in Dubai have the leeway to choose an approach suitable to them, depending on the size, location and number of students. Schools can accommodate students in either one or multiple shifts, and have the option of providing either partial or full distance learning alternatives depending on their agreement with parents. Schools are, however, encouraged to implement innovative solutions to ensure high safety standards in the current environment. Consultations with parents, teachers and students will be key to ensure the best approach. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, said that innovative measures are required to ensure the seamless delivery of education amidst the current global situation, while visiting the offices of Dubai’s education regulator, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), official news agency WAM reported. Sheikh Hamdan issued directives to ensure students and staff across schools in Dubai enjoy the highest levels of safety and protection. ”The government is committed to providing the education needed to develop a new generation capable of building a future that meets the country’s aspirations,” he said. The plans for the new school year developed by private schools over the last few weeks in consultation with parents have incorporated creative solutions that enhance the school’s ability to meet student requirements. KHDA reportedly confirmed earlier this week that Dubai-based students can opt for distance learning during the first term of the academic year 2020/2021.
