Home Transport Aviation Qatar Airways launches weekend flights to Dubai The flights are in addition to Qatar Airways’ 19 other daily flights to Dubai by Aarti Nagraj October 4, 2016 Qatar Airways has launched special weekend getaway flights between Doha and Dubai, it announced on Tuesday. The new flights will be effective from October 3, 2016. The flight from Doha will depart on Thursday afternoon at 15:50, arriving in Dubai International Airport at 18:00 local time, and the Dubai flight will leave at 19:00, arriving in Doha at 19:10 local time. The return flight on Saturday will depart Doha at 14:50 and arrive in Dubai at 17:00, and leave Dubai at 18:00 and arrive in Doha at 18:10 local time. The new flights are in addition to Qatar Airways’ 19 other daily flights including 15 to Dubai International Airport and four flights to Dubai World Central. Ehab Amin, Qatar Airways senior vice president – Commercial MEA and Pakistan said: “We know how important weekend getaways are for people living in Doha and Dubai, so we added a special flight just for their convenience. This additional flight also makes connections to destinations beyond Doha easier for people in Dubai, travelling to the Indian sub-continent and Far East. “This additional frequency comes after launching Qatar Airways’ new Dubai premium lounge earlier this year.” The lounge was opened during the official opening of Dubai International Airport’s Concourse D earlier this year and features private family zones, shower facilities, seating areas and serves international cuisine. It is open to first and business class passengers and privilege club platinum and gold members. Qatar Airways, which flies to over 150 destinations worldwide, is continuing to expand its network.
