The route will be operated by a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, which contains 42 Business Class lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration, and 217 economy class seats in a 3-3-3 configuration. It becomes the airline’s second route in Texas after Houston, and it will be compete with Emirates regionally, which also serves both destinations. Qatar is also launching routes to Philadelphia from April 2 and to Miami from June 10. Dallas is the largest hub for oneworld member American Airlines, and given Qatar has recently joined the global alliance, the new route enhances west-east traffic flow opportunities for both airlines. Dallas Fort Worth is the world’s fourth busiest airport, operating 1,900 flights per day and serving 58 million passengers a year. DFW provides nonstop service to 148 domestic and 52 international destinations worldwide. 0 Comments
