Revealed: Arab Expatriate Salaries In The Gulf
Arab expat salaries rose the least among racial groups, up 4.69 per cent year-on-year, on the Gulf Business 2015 Salary Survey.
Average wages across the GCC rose last year, however, Arab expat salaries rose the least among racial groups, up 4.69 per cent from $11,117 per month in 2014 to $11,638 in 2015, according to the Gulf Business 2015 Salary Survey.
Some sectors particularly didn’t fare well; last year, the average wage for an Arab construction manager across the GCC in our survey was $12,792 a month, while in our 2015 survey it dropped more than 10 per cent to $11,497.
The survey also found that Westerners, on average, earn 6.96 per cent more than Arabs, while Arabs pocket around 20.04 per cent more than Asians.
The Gulf Business 2015 Salary Survey polled the average remuneration for 20 roles, including finance, real estate and media, across the six Gulf countries.
