According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020, the United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain is the highest-rated university in the UAE, ranking between 301 and 350 globally. The second highest-ranked university in the UAE, according to the Times rankings, is Khalifa University, ranking between 351 and 400 globally. The University of Sharjah is third (801-1,000 globally), while the American University of Sharjah is fourth (also 801-1,000 globally). In second is Alfaisal University, also in Saudi Arabia and also ranking 201 to 250 globally. The top university in the world is once again the University of Oxford in the UK. In second is the California Institute of Technology, followed by the University of Cambridge and Stanford University.
