The first edition of GB Tech Awards 2021 was held on Wednesday, October 20, to honour the success of businesses and individuals in the technology industry across the Middle East and Africa.
The GB Tech Awards was presented by Gulf Business – a title that is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and which is part of the Dubai-headquartered Motivate Media Group.
Hosted at the Headlines Executive, Ibis, Dubai World Trade Centre, the awards were presented to some of the biggest names in the technology industry who have delivered among the most innovative digital products and solutions despite the challenges posed by the the pandemic.
A total of 22 awards were announced at the event.
Organisations and individuals were recognised across multiple categories including digital transformation, consumer tech, enterprise tech, cybersecurity, blockchain, fintech, managed services, cloud, among others.
The judging panel included two industry experts from esteemed GCC organisations – Dr Lt Hamad Khalifa Al Nuaimi, head of Telecommunications division, ICT centre, Abu Dhabi Police HQ and Dr Jassim Haji, president, Artificial Intelligence Society, Bahrain.
