Home Industry Tourism RTA to operate ferry between Dubai Mall and Dubai Marina Mall The ferry service will take about 1 hour 20 minutes one-way by Aarti Nagraj January 9, 2019 The Dubai Ferry will now operate an exclusive route linking the Dubai Mall in Downtown Dubai with Dubai Marina Mall – both Emaar properties. The ferry service will take about 1 hour 20 minutes one-way, offering views of Palm Jumeirah, Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai Canal, the Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said. It will ply between the Dubai Marina ferry station, located behind the Dubai Marina Mall, and Al Wajeha Al Maeyah station, from where a complimentary shuttle service will take users to reach the Dubai Mall and back. Tickets are priced Dhs68.25 per adult and Dhs52.5 for children from 5 to 12 years. They can be purchased from At the Top, Burj Khalifa, from the guest service desks at the Dubai Mall and Dubai Marina Mall, on the Burj Khalifa website and from the ferry stations. The new service follows an earlier agreement signed between the RTA and Emaar’s At the Top to promote the sale of Dubai Ferry tickets, a statement said. Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of Public Transport Agency, said: “The marine transport network of Dubai is gaining considerable interest among visitors and residents, especially following the ongoing promotion of the Dubai Ferry service by At the Top, Burj Khalifa.” The RTA currently has a fleet of nine ferry boats shuttling between eight stations including Ghubaiba, Marina Mall, Jaddaf, Water Canal, Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Wajeha Al Maeyah, Marasi and the Dubai Design District. Ticket prices range from Dhs25 to Dhs500 in silver class and from between Dhs35 to Dhs75 in gold class. The ferry also provides charter services. 0 Comments
