Home UAE Abu Dhabi Sale: Abu Dhabi’s Etihad offers two-for-one tickets The sale covers return fares inclusive of taxes and surcharges by Varun Godinho January 5, 2021 Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, has rolled out a New Year’s sale which commenced from Tuesday, January 5, whereby customers can get two tickets for the price of one. The sale ends on Wednesday, January 13, and passengers can book the tickets on the airline’s website to travel any time before June 15, 2021. The airline added that the offer is valid only for one guest and a companion. Booking for the companion must be made in the same transaction, and the companion must fly on the same flight, date, and class of travel as the accompanying guest. Return fares for two people in economy class, inclusive of taxes and surcharges, from Abu Dhabi to Athens start from Dhs1,000; Istanbul from Dhs1,790; Dublin from Dhs3,830; and Toronto from Dhs5,790. The sale extends across all of Etihad’s cabins, with return Business fares starting from Dhs8,750 out of Abu Dhabi to Maldives and Dhs10,370 to Istanbul. Read: Abu Dhabi carrier Etihad Airways offers global Covid-19 insurance cover to passengers Passengers will be covered for up to EUR150,000 of medical costs and up to EUR100 a day of quarantine costs in case of a positive diagnosis for 14 days. Additionally, the airline has clarified on its website that those travelling from Brunei, Mainland China, Hong Kong region, Isle of Man, Kuwait, Macao region, Mauritius, Mongolia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Oman, Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Taiwan region, and Thailand – and those taking part in the UAE’s National Vaccination Programme – are exempt from quarantine requirements upon arrival in Abu Dhabi.
