Saudi Arabia levies Covid-19 vaccine mandate

The kingdom reported 1,146 new Covid-19 cases on July 31

Saudi Arabia has said that effective August 1, it will permit only fully vaccinated people to enter all places within the country.

Only fully vaccinated citizens and residents are permitted to enter all places, activities, events, government and private facilities, or use public transportation, across the kingdom’s regions. The Ministry of Interior, took to social media to stress on the Covid-19 vaccine inoculation approved by the Ministry of Health to protect the community from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Ministry also called on everyone to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures, and fully comply with the application of health requirements, such as social distancing, wearing a mask and hand washing, in addition to adhering to the approved protocols.

The kingdom reported 1,146 new Covid-19 cases on July 31.

The nationwide case count has risen to 525,730. Meanwhile, the death toll stands at 8,237.
