Saudi-led Arab coalition forces destroyed two bomb-laden drones and a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis towards the kingdom in two separate incidents on Saturday and Sunday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Coalition spokesperson Colonel Turki Al Maliki said forces intercepted and destroyed an explosive drone on Saturday evening which was headed towards “civilians and civilian targets” in Saudi’s southern region.
A ballistic missile was also intercepted on Saturday as it was heading towards the city of Jazan.
On Sunday morning, coalition forces also destroyed another Saudi-bound bomb-laden drone while it was still in Yemeni airspace, Al Maliki said.
The UAV was launched by the Houthis militia to target the kingdom, he added.
