Coalition spokesperson Colonel Turki Al Maliki said forces intercepted and destroyed an explosive drone on Saturday evening which was headed towards “civilians and civilian targets” in Saudi’s southern region. A ballistic missile was also intercepted on Saturday as it was heading towards the city of Jazan. On Sunday morning, coalition forces also destroyed another Saudi-bound bomb-laden drone while it was still in Yemeni airspace, Al Maliki said. The UAV was launched by the Houthis militia to target the kingdom, he added.
