The plant, located in the Ma’aden complex at Ras Al Khair city, was shut down on March 23 “for a period of around 10 days”, the company said in a statement. Ma’aden said MPC would continue producing diammonium phosphate, a fertiliser for which ammonia is a feedstock, using its inventory and “the shutdown will have no significant financial impact”.
