Saudi Arabia’s PetroRabigh expects to restart units of its petrochemical complex gradually on Sunday after a brief shutdown due to a technical glitch at one of the units, the company said.

The firm, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical, said it shut the whole complex at Rabigh on the west coast on Thursday as a precautionary measure after a technical failure at the utilities unit.

The utilities unit was restarted on Saturday, PetroRabigh said in a statement, adding that the financial impact of the closure would be assessed at a later stage.
