Second Republican Party presidential debate: How to watch it live

The second Republican primary debate for potential 2024 presidential nominees will be held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.

Seven Republican candidates will take the stage to address the country, with one notable exception.

Event details

The second debate between the Republican hopefuls will happen on Wednesday, September 27. The debate will start at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT and last for 120 minutes.

How to watch: Television broadcast

The two-hour debate will be broadcast live on the Fox News Channel and Fox Business.

Online streaming

Cable subscribers can watch the simultaneous stream on Fox and Univision’s websites.

Various streaming services offer live coverage, including Fox Nation, Univision’s Vix, DirecTV Stream, FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, and Sling.

Additionally, the GOP’s channel on Rumble, a conservative-focused video platform, will provide a free broadcast.

The debate will not be available on YouTube, as Rumble is the official partner for the event.

Republican candidates

The second round saw seven Republican candidates successfully meet the qualifications for participation in the debate:

  • Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
  • Former Vice President Mike Pence
  • Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie
  • Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley
  • North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum
  • Senator Tim Scott (SC)
  • Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson did not meet the Republican National Committee’s polling requirements and will not be participating.

Moderators

The debate will be moderated by a panel comprising Fox News host Dana Perino, Fox Business Network host Stuart Varney, and Univision news anchor Ilia Calderón.

Notable absence

Former President Donald Trump will not be in attendance, continuing the trend from the previous presidential debate.

Instead, Trump plans to address striking United Auto Workers in Detroit, Michigan, on the same evening.
