The Boeing 747 jet, which was travelling from Hong Kong, crashed while landing at the Manas airport in Kyrgyz capital Bishkek at around 7.30am local time. The plane was supposed to make a stopover at Manas on its way to Istanbul. The jet destroyed 15 local houses when it crashed, killing several residents including six children, according to reports. There were also four crew members onboard, and according to local officials, only one of them has survived. Officials have blamed the crash on poor weather conditions.
