Home Industry Hospitality Shangri-La Hotels to enter Bahrain Shangri-La currently operates six properties in the GCC by Dominic Ellis April 25, 2018 Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will manage a 250-room luxury hotel in Bahrain in 2022. The hotel will be located in the 310,00sqm Bahrain Marina in the heart of the city which will contain residences, yacht club, shopping district, F&B and retail spaces. The deal was signed with Bahrain Marina Development Company (BMDC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Social Insurance Organisation. The luxury property will feature recreational and meeting facilities, including five restaurants, a rooftop lounge, private beach, two outdoor pools, health club and spa, kid’s club and 1,038sqm ballroom.
