Sharjah’s Arada awards Dhs180m contract to build The Boulevard at Aljada

Sharjah real estate developer Arada has awarded the Dhs180m construction contract of The Boulevard project to Dubai-based construction company Al Ashram Contracting.

Construction on the project will begin immediately, with homes in the project handed over by the end of 2022.

The Boulevard is a residential complex at Arada’s Sharjah mega-community Aljada, located in the edge of its East Village district. The complex comprises of three apartment blocks, featuring various amenities. Meanwhile, the nine-storey blocks are located next to Aljada’s main avenue, lined with shops, restaurants and cafes, a statement said.

Featuring around 600 units in total, The Boulevard buildings feature one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments of varying sizes, for singles, young couples and families. All apartments come with smart home technology, while the complex also includes a health club and a shared swimming pool, as well as a number of cafes and retail outlets at ground-floor level.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, chairman of Arada, said: “These distinctive and high-end homes in one of the most desirable parts of Aljada have been welcomed by investors and end-users and will be a valuable addition to Sharjah’s property landscape on completion.”

Arada has already completed 465 units at seven apartment buildings in Aljada so far this year, with another seven apartment buildings and a townhouse and villa community at the project scheduled to be completed in the next few months.

In February, the developer also awarded a Dhs367m contract to build Nest, a student housing complex. Spread over a 24 million square foot area, Aljada contains numerous residential districts, as well as retail, hospitality, entertainment, sporting, educational and healthcare components.

In December, its CEO said that Arada is ‘extremely bullish’ on the outlook for the emirate of Sharjah for 2021.

Also, Arada launched Naseej District, a Dhs24m upscale neighbourhood in the emirate of Sharjah on December 16.
