In 100 days, the UAE will be the first country in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region to host a World Expo. More than 200 nations, multilateral organisations, businesses and educational establishments will convene to develop innovative solutions to address global challenges. The UAE will host the event with strict Covid-19 precautionary measures and a safe environment where about 90 per cent of the population have been vaccinated against Covid-19. The event also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the country, which will, throughout the event, aim to forge new partnerships with multinational and international corporations to drive its development journey of the next 50 years. Over 370 delegates of the Expo 2020 travelled to the UAE to attend the final International Participants Meeting (IPM) in May this year ahead of the event’s official opening in October.
