Marriott International has teamed up with WOW Resorts to launch a resort and residential development on Al Marjan Island
It has signed three deals for properties in the UK and Türkiye that will be positioned within its midscale segment
It will include Saudi Arabia’s first W Hotel and a JW Marriott property too
The new hotel is set to open in 2025 and will be located in downtown AlUla
The projects will add more than 2,000 rooms to the company’s portfolio within the country
W Al Marjan Island will include 300 rooms and is slated to open in Ras Al Khaimah in 2027
Marriott International’s current portfolio across the Middle East comprises 150 properties with more than 40,000 rooms across 21 brands, in 11 countries and territories
This is GII’s first property development project with a global hospitality provider and its second residential investment in the UK
Apart from the property in Saudi, there are only five other Ritz-Carlton Reserves worldwide
The tower consists of 384 exclusive, high-end residences, which will be managed by Marriott International
Marriott inked a franchise agreement with Shurooq for the two hotels which will be located in Kalba and Khorfakkan
