This comes as a result of the agency’s commitment to award at least 50 per cent of the overall contracted mission to private sector companies

Both entities will work together on three key initiatives
The MoU enables exchange of space data to support various fields of common interest such as climate change, disaster management, emergency response, food security and agriculture
The move will make it the first Arab country to develop a constellation of synthetic aperture radar satellites
Businesses will be offered benefits including incubation, office space, mentorship, networking and investment opportunities, among others
UAE Hope probe is scheduled to enter Mars orbit on February 9
NASA’s Artemis Accords is based on the vision of the United Nations’ Outer Space Treaty of 1967
The MeznSat project will contribute to the UAE Space Agency’s objectives to develop national capabilities and enhance scientific research
The UAE launched its mission on Sunday, with the US and China to follow later this month and next
The Ground Control station located in the Al Khawaneej area of Dubai has successfully received the first transmission from the Hope Probe too
The Hope probe will now lift-off on July 20, 2020, at 1.58am UAE local time
The launch is contingent upon improved weather conditions
A new launch date will be announced in the next 24 hours
The UAE has already embarked on an ambitious space exploration strategy
The Hope probe’s mission to Mars will start in mid-July 2020 from the Tanegashima Space Center, and is expected to reach the Red Planet’s orbit in the first quarter of 2021
