Wizz Air currently flies to a total of 36 destinations to 25 different countries from Abu Dhabi
The new routes are a part of a line-up of 24 new routes to Saudi Arabia announced in recent months by Wizz Air
Flights between the two destinations will operate twice a week
Wizz as a whole is planning for a fleet of 500 aircraft by 2030
The service will connect Abu Dhabi International Airport with Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Bus Station on an Express Bus Route
The new flights will connect the Saudi capital as well as major cities with European destinations including Bucharest, Budapest, Milan, Naples, Rome, Venice and Vienna
Fares will start from Dhs99 for Kuwait and Dhs319 for Maldives from October
The flights to Aqaba and Amman will operate twice a week
The fleet will expand to eight this year, adding links to destinations including Vienna, Bari, Italy, and Krasnodar, Russia
The airline will expand its network from Abu Dhabi to include flights to Sofia, Katowice and Cluj-Napoca in September
In 2019, Wizz Air flew 40 million passengers to 151 airports in 44 countries on 710 routes
It added that these flights are subject to aviation activities being resumed in the respective countries
