This move was in line with the company’s efforts to support its restaurant partners & customers as Covid-19 continues to spread, triggering uncertainty in regional markets. Using Talabat’s in-app location-based technology, customers will be able to choose free delivery from a range of different restaurants and cuisines nearby. While safety is Talabat’s top priority, supporting its restaurant partners to leverage technology is a close second, Tomaso Rodriguez, Talabat CEO asserted. “By leveraging our technology, we’re encouraging our customers to order from nearby restaurant partners who may be seeing dine-in rates dropping due to uncertainty around Covid-19,’ he said. “We are well prepared, and are working with local authorities to ensure the safety of our customers, riders and restaurant partners, in each market that we operate,” Rodriguez added.
