Globally, the most overused buzzword in LinkedIn profiles is “creative,” followed by “motivated” and “effective”. In the UAE, “motivated” was the most prevalent, the company said in a statement. LinkedIn, which has over 187 million members worldwide, recently announced plans to open its first office in the Middle East to support its growing database in the MENA region. The new Dubai office will initially have seven members of staff whose primary job will be focusing on growing revenues within its hiring solutions business. “The UAE is home to a large base of high caliber professionals from all over the world. In this competitive environment, it is important for professionals to stand out and establish a credible identity online,” said Ali Matar, head – LinkedIn Talent Solutions, MENA. “One way to set yourself apart and increase your career opportunities is by avoiding these buzzwords in your LinkedIn profile,” he added.
