He is accompanied by Türkiye’s First Lady Emine Erdogan. President Erdogan and his delegation were received in Abu Dhabi by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister of UAE and Minister of the Presidential Court. The UAE delegation also included Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court; Saeed Thani Hareb Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Türkiye; and other officials. The talks will focus on investment, manufacturing as well as regional and international issues. The Gulf tour The UAE is President Erdogan’s final stop on his Gulf tour. He began his visit with Saudi Arabia which saw the two countries sign agreements to enhance cooperation in energy, defence production, and media, according to state news agency SPA. This was followed by a stopover in Doha, Qatar. Before taking off from Istanbul, Erdogan said the visit had two main priorities – “investment and a financial dimension”. “Turkey will have a serious investment opportunity in the defence industry, infrastructure and superstructure investments in the three countries,” he said. “In addition, these countries will have the opportunity to purchase certain assets from Turkey.” Turkey is one of the fastest-growing partners among the top 10 trade partners of the UAE.
