Starting Thursday, May 13, individuals from both countries holding vaccination certificates will not need to quarantine upon arrival, official news agency WAM reported. Citizens and residents will be required to show documentation that they have received the last dose of a Covid-19 vaccine as per the approved applications or certificates issued by health authorities. Travellers can also present PCR laboratory test results through these applications. The Seychelles is currently the most vaccinated country worldwide, while the UAE also has among the highest rates of vaccination globally. The move aims to facilitate the movement of individuals, promote tourism between the two countries, and achieve the desired goals of vaccination campaigns, the report stated. “This partnership is of high importance in light of the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic,” it added.
