The UAE has announced holidays for public and private sector workers to mark Eid Al Fitr.
According to a circular issued to all federal government departments, the Eid holidays for public sector workers will be from the 29th of Ramadan until the 3rd of Shawwal.
Meanwhile, the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation also confirmed that private sector workers will a paid holiday break from Ramadan 29 until the 3rd of Shawwal.
If Ramadan lasts 29 days, the holidays will stretch across four days, from Tuesday, May 11, until Friday, May 14.
But if it lasts 30 days, workers in the country will get a five-day break from Tuesday, May 11, until Saturday, May 15.
