The UAE’s minister of Education and chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi issued a circular to all federal ministries and institutions regarding the Islamic New Year, 1437 Hijri, which may fall on Wednesday October 14, to be compensated to Thursday October 15. The ministry of Labour too declared that October 15 will be a holiday for the private sector. Islamic New Year or the Hijri New Year is not fixed to a Gregorian calendar date but is usually 11 days early every year. It is generally determined by moon-sighting. 0 Comments
