The total number of deals across two days of the exhibition equalled 10, with a total value of Dhs16.524bn. The deals on the first day amounted to Dhs5.239bn, official news agency WAM reported. Read: UAE’s Ministry of Defence signs Dhs5bn deals on opening day of Dubai Airshow 2021 Major General Staff Pilot Ishaq Saleh Al Balushi, executive director of the Military Organising Committee of the Dubai Airshow 2021, said: “The deals concluded on the second day of the airshow are different from one another, because they have been signed with several countries. There is one local contract and four international contracts with our partners abroad.” The first deal was contracted with the Greek SIELMAN company to provide technical support and maintenance for air force and air defense valued at Dhs3.673m. The second contract was signed with Swiss Rheinmetall Air Defence to provide technical support services for air force and air defense at the value of Dhs5.558m. The third contract was concluded with HENSOLDT France to buy communication devices for air force and air defense worth Dhs13.169m. The fourth contract was contracted with the US Northrop Grumman International Trading company to provide technical support services for air force and air defense at the value of Dhs14m. The fifth and last contract was signed with the local company, Global Aerospace Logistics, to provide maintenance and technical support for the aircraft of the Command of Air Force and Air Defence for three years, valued at Dhs11.247bn.
