The GCAA urged the public “not to circulate these rumours through social media” and said it is the sole authenticated source of any information related to aviation sector”, the report added. On Thursday, four people died in a plane crash close to Dubai International Airport. The small plane – a Diamond DA42 aircraft – crashed about 5km south of the airport at around 7.30pm on Thursday evening, killing all four people on board including the pilot and his assistant.
