Those aged four and under don’t need any tests. In Scotland, children over 12 have to take tests before returning home, and on day two. Adults can prove they were vaccinated at least 14 days prior, with proof of it displayed via the NHS Covid pass, or a Covid pass letter and its equivalents in different parts of the UK. Also, under the amber list rules, those under the age of 18 do not have to self-isolate. The UK added the UAE to its red list in January this year. Those arriving from a red list nation have to mandatorily quarantine in a hotel for 10 days upon their arrival in the UK. Also, only British or Irish nationals or those with residence rights in the UK are permitted to fly from red list countries.
