The UAE has placed an embargo on the import of all kinds of live domestic and wild birds, ornamental birds, chicks and hatching eggs and their thermally non treated products from the European countries of Estonia and Romania.
The announcement was made by the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment on Monday morning.
The ministry did not specify the reason that led to the ban.
In January this year, the UAE had also indefinitely banned the import of all live domestic and wild birds, ornamental birds, chicks and hatching eggs and their thermally non treated products from the UK and Netherlands.
