Home Industry RMAL To Develop Marco Pierre White Portfolio The deal would allow RMAL to develop venues under the chef’s name both regionally and internationally. by Mary Sophia May 5, 2013 UAE-based RMAL Hospitality group has purchased the entire portfolio of celebrity Chef Marco Pierre White (MPW) brands outside the UK. The deal would allow RMAL to develop a host of venues under the MPW name either independently or in conjunction with other partners. Speaking about the latest collaborative effort, Anthony P. Liddiard, CEO of RMAL Hospitality said, “Marco Pierre White is a legend in the hospitality industry who has totally transformed the perception of eating out in the UK. We have worked very closely with Marco over the last seven years, collaboratively developing some of the most successful restaurants in the UAE.” Detailing the MPW expansion outside the UK, chef Marco Pierre White said, “RMAL have the infrastructure and knowledge to take on the Marco Pierre White brands globally and also the desire to do so. ” The current MPW brands in the region include the recently launched Wheeler’s of St. James’s in DIFC, Frankie’s Italian Bar and Grill in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse in Abu Dhabi. Marco Pierre White Grill is set to open at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai, becoming the latest venture of the brand in the region. RMAL is now planning on developing more venues throughout the region that will offer exceptional dining options and is conducting feasibility studies in new markets. However, all further expansion of the MPW brands will continue to have the creative guidance of White. “We have an incredibly close partnership with Marco and he remains very much a part of the creative process for any new venue that we launch and operate.
