Oracle has announced that ISA (Information Systems Associates), a UAE-based provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel and aviation industry, has migrated its mission-critical systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to build a resilient business operation that can successfully manage fluctuating travel demands resulting from the pandemic.

ISA will be able to manage a highly seasonal travel reservation workload, drive cost effectiveness and boost operational agility. During the pandemic, as travel demand plummeted, ISA was able to reduce operational costs on infrastructure with OCI, without compromising on performance and security. Following the success of this cloud adoption, ISA has initiated a sustained upgrade of its IT infrastructure with OCI’s cloud native technologies and platforms.

“ISA plays an active role in the global aviation industry, which was severely affected by the pandemic. The need to migrate its core travel reservation application to a highly elastic cloud solution was vital to maintaining profitability and operational excellence. Designed to run any application faster, more securely and for less, OCI is the most suited infrastructure platform for mission critical workloads,” said Nick Redshaw, senior vice president – Cloud, Middle East and Africa, Oracle.

Established in 2005 and headquartered in Sharjah, UAE, ISA is a information technology company specialised in the aviation industry. It provides customer assets with rapid deployment capability and low set-up costs, allowing companies in the airline, airport, travel, and tourism sectors to yield faster return on investment (ROI) while freeing up resources for further or alternate investment.
