The daily rise in cases has crossed the 1,000 mark for the first time in almost four months. The country’s daily Covid-19 count had last risen beyond 1,000 on February 14, when the health ministry had announced 1,191 infections. The health ministry also announced 712 recoveries in the past 24 hours, raising the total recovery count to 896,448. No deaths were reported in the previous 24 hours, keeping the death toll unchanged at 2,305.
