In a statement on Twitter, the UAE’s National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) rubbished the rumours and urged the public to obtain news only from authentic sources. Failure to do so exposes individuals to legal repercussions and fines will be applied to anyone who spreads rumours and incorrect information,” it added. The country reported 683 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the total number infections in the country to 51,540. The death toll in the country stands at 323, while a total of 40,297 patients have completely recovered.
