André Daoud has been appointed to the Dubai-based role and will manage the Medcare hospitals and health clinics. Daoud previously served as the chief business officer at NEXtCARE, prior to which he was the company’s chief marketing officer. “He is strongly focused on growing our business to ensure a sustainable future, and we are excited about the next chapter for Medcare,” said Alisha Moopen, executive director and CEO – Hospitals and Clinics GCC at Aster. In Dubai, Medcare currently operates a 64-bed multi-specialty hospital in Jumeirah and the 88-bed Women & Children Hospital also on on Sheikh Zayed Road. It also runs the Medcare Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital on Sheikh Zayed Road, which is supported by a Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre, which offers physiotherapy, rehabilitation, sports injury care, advanced joint care, speech therapy, pediatrics rehabilitation. The group also operates 11 medical centres in Dubai as well as a specialty eye centre, a fertility centre and a pediatrics centre. Medcare also operates a 120-bed multi-facility hospital in Sharjah and a medical centre in the emirate.
