Home Europe United Kingdom UAE issues UK travel advisory The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an advisory in the wake of an increase in violence and knife crime by Zainab Mansoor December 9, 2019 The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has advised citizens travelling to, or living in London, to exercise caution in light of the recent surge in violent attacks. “We advise our citizens to take special care, especially at night, and avoid wearing valuable items that attract attention in public places,” the ministry’s tweet, read in part. The ministry also encouraged the citizens in the metropolis to liaise with the embassy and contact authorities regarding any security issues. There were 43,516 knife crime offences in the 12 months ending March 2019, BBC reported in July this year. The figures exclude those from Greater Manchester Police. 0 Comments
