Home Industry UAE law firm tweets job offer to Barack Obama Emirati lawyer tweets outgoing president with “serious” offer by Eleanor Dickinson May 17, 2016 United States president Barack Obama has been offered a job with a Dubai law firm to acquaint him with the “tolerance of Islam” after he steps down in January. Emirati lawyer Isa bin Haidar tweeted to Obama offering him a job at his firm Bin Haider Advocates & Legal Consultants this week. The chief executive offered to pay for a villa and flights for Obama should he take up the offer when his eight-year presidential tenure ends. Bin Haidar told Gulf News that his offer was “serious” and stemmed from his concern over the portrayals of Muslims in western media as terrorists. He added: “The only way for westerners to accept and understand Islam and Muslims is to come and live with us and amongst us. Once he [Obama] leaves his office at the White House, I offer President Obama work in my law firm and then he would come and live amongst Arabs and Muslims and learn the exact meaning of tolerance.” He also tweeted in Arabic: “I know my offer is a little bit weird, but you [Obama] have to live with Muslims to know them closely and away from political theatrics which are being spearheaded by the US.” Bin Haidar has 31,000 followers on Twitter and his firm is based on Sheikh Zayed Road. 0 Comments
