The UAE’s President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wished the President of India Droupadi Murmu on the occasion of her country’s Independence Day, celebrated on August 15, reported state news agency WAM.
India marks 77th Independence Day
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, wished President Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion as well.
The Dubai ruler wished Indians in English and Hindi as the country celebrated its 77th Independence Day.
India and the UAE have strong bilateral relations that go back to the time of both countries as young nations. The UAE is home to a 3.5 million strong Indian expatriate population, and it is the most popular destination for Indian citizens seeking work overseas.
