Home Transport Aviation UAE low cost carrier Air Arabia launches flights to Belgrade The service will begin in June with four weekly flights by Aarti Nagraj January 8, 2019 Sharjah-based low cost carrier Air Arabia has announced the launch of a new route to Serbia’s capital city, Belgrade. The service will begin on June 28, 2019 with return flights operating four times per week on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Tuesdays and Fridays, flights will depart Sharjah International Airport at 9am and arrive at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport at 1pm, while return flights will leave Belgrade at 1.40pm and arrive in the UAE emirate at 9pm. On Thursdays and Saturdays, the scheduled departure time from Sharjah is 3.45pm with arrival in the Serbian city at 7.45pm, while the return flight with depart from Belgrade at 9.45 and land in Sharjah at 5.05am the following day. Adel Al Ali, group CEO, Air Arabia, said: “The new Sharjah to Belgrade service offers our customers an opportunity to discover a colorful and historic city situated on the main route that connects Europe and Asia.” The announcement of the new route follows the carrier’s recent launch of flights to the Czech capital city of Prague. Air Arabia currently operates flights to more than 155 routes across the globe from four hubs located in the Middle East and North Africa. The route, launched last month, operates five times a week.
