NCMS has forecasted sandstorms in the country and has also warned about possible road-landslides during rainfall. It urged motorists to avoid valleys in the mountainous areas in the north and east of the country. The centre also cautioned mariners of rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. The weather is expected to be dusty and partly cloudy on Wednesday with the possibility of some rain over some areas, especially over the coastal and northern areas at night. Weather conditions are also expected to remain poor on Thursday and Friday, said NCMS. “The wind will be fresh to strong at times, especially with cloud activity, causing blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility at times especially in open areas. Sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and in the sea of Oman,” the WAM report said. Clouds will ease gradually by early morning on Saturday, especially in the west, with possibility of some rain in the northern and eastern regions. 0 Comments
