UPDATE: UAE announces 3-day weekend for public, private sectors
The UAE Cabinet approved the National Day holiday for the federal government as well as the private sector from December 2 to 4
The UAE has announced holiday dates for federal government employees to mark the UAE’s National Day, giving these employees three days off. However, in an update, authorities also announced that private sector workers will now also have a three day weekend.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced an update on public holiday for the private sector on UAE’s 52nd National Day: 2nd, 3rd and 4th December will be a paid public holiday.

The UAE Cabinet approved the Union Day holiday for the federal government from 2 to 4 December 2023. It also announced that public sector employees can work remotely on Friday, December 1, 2023, other than the jobs where the physical presence is in the office.
