Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, welcomed President Sheikh Mohamed and the accompanying delegation upon their arrival at Doha International Airport. Sheikh Mohamed is accompanied by a delegation that includes Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Special Affairs Advisor at the Presidential Court. This landmark event will take place from October 2, 2023, to March 28, 2024, spanning six months. Doha Expo 2023 is spearheaded by the Ministry of Municipality and is supported by Qatar’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. It serves the Qatar National Vision 2030 which places paramount importance on environmental management and sustainable development as its guiding principles. The theme of Doha Expo 2023 is “Green desert, better environment.” This thematic choice reflects the expo’s overarching mission—to inspire the global community to embrace innovative solutions for combatting desertification.
