UAE private sector holiday declared for Prophet’s birthday
Employees will be entitled to a day’s paid leave on Thursday, October 21

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has declared that Thursday, October 21, will be a paid holiday for employees of private sector’s establishments, institutions and companies.
The holiday has been declared to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammad.

Earlier in the day, the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources said that October 21 would be a public holiday for federal government employees.
In 2019, the UAE Cabinet approved a decree granting public and private sector companies in the UAE will have the same number of national holidays.
