Home Covid-19 UAE reports 1,008 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths The coronavirus death toll in the country has reached 409 by Aarti Nagraj September 25, 2020 The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 1,008 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 89,540. The cases detected after the ministry conducted 92,058 additional tests over the past 24 hours as part of its intensified testing campaign. The ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. The infected individuals are in a stable condition and are receiving the necessary care, a statement said. It also reported that an additional 882 individuals had fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 78,819. The ministry expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased and wished all patients a speedy and full recovery. It also urged the public to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and maintain physical distancing to ensure the health and safety of all.
