The new cases were detected, in the wake of 167,804 tests conducted across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also reported 1,463 recoveries, scaling the total to 665,593. Two additional deaths due to Covid-19 complications were also revealed, increasing the death toll to 1,967.
