The new cases were detected after 221,968 tests were conducted across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also announced 1,769 recoveries in the past 24 hours, raising the total recovery count to 935,026. No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, keeping the death toll unchanged at 2,319.
