The new infections were detected, after 490,562 tests were conducted across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also reported two deaths due to Covid-19 complications, spiking the related death toll to 2,234. Meanwhile, as many as 1,320 patients recovered from the infection, increasing the recovery count to 775,670. The nationwide case count has risen to 838,384.
